From First Pin to 20 Years: CFMs Recognized at 2025 Annual Conference
Earlier this year at the ASFPM Annual Conference, CFMs who earned their certification in 2005 were recognized for their 20-years of continuous certification.
In addition to the 20-year pins, new CFMs received their first pin in recognition of their certification. All told, members of the Certification Board of Regents (CBOR) pinned nearly 35 new and veteran CFMs who attended the conference with a special lapel pin. Individual photos were taken to commemorate each CFM’s success.
If you were not able to attend the conference this year and receive your pin in person, you may order it in the ASFPM portal (go under Shop) and have your pin delivered. In addition, CFMs can now shop for logoed apparel — including polos, fleece vests, and ball caps — right in the ASFPM portal! (Heads up: CFM merch is available only to current CFMs, so the page will not display if you’re not a Certified Floodplain Manager.)
As can be seen in the photo albums, the pinning events were a huge success and plans are already being made for a repeat performance at next year’s conference in Milwaukee, WI.
