ASFPM Foundation Sets its Sights on a Phenomenal 2024 ASFPM Annual National Conference in Salt Lake City!

Another year behind us, and here we are again – gearing up for another exciting conference in the great state of Utah! There will be no shortage of activities to celebrate the great work by the ASFPM Foundation, and importantly, to thank our donors for their generosity throughout the year.

Here is a snapshot of some of the ways you can learn more about the Foundation and engage in the activities we have planned to make this year’s conference experience even more rewarding than last!

  • Visit the ASFPM Foundation Booth (Space No. 300) to meet Foundation members, learn about what we do, and check out what we have planned for you at this year’s conference.
  • Attend the ASFPM Foundation Luncheon on Tuesday, June 25 in Ballroom E-J when we will announce the 2024-2025 Future Leaders Scholarship recipient. You also will be serenaded by the Salt Lake City Young Artist Chamber Players ensemble while lunch is served and before the formal presentation begins.
  • Attend the Student Paper Competition on Wednesday, June 26 from 10:30 am-noon in Room 255 F, when our finalists will present their papers on important flood risk management topics.
  • Attend the ASFPM Foundation Donor Recognition Reception and Live Auction on Wednesday, June 26 from 6:30-8:30 pm in Room 255 E&F to help us celebrate the Foundation’s success, which is only possible through the generosity of Chapter, individual, and corporate donors. If you aren’t a donor already, you can attend by making a $125 donation (tickets available at the Foundation Booth and by seeing a Foundation member).
  • For students and recent graduates, attend the Emerging Leaders Session on Thursday, June 27 from 7:30-8:15 am in Room 255 F when up-and-coming floodplain management professionals can network with ASFPM Foundation leadership and discuss ongoing young professional engagement opportunities that will be valuable in helping to further your careers in floodplain and flood risk management.
  • Take a dive in the ASFPM Foundation DipJar throughout the conference, beginning on Sunday at the Welcome Fest! This is a quick and easy way to help us meet our fundraising goals with an electronic donation – no amount is too small!

Ask Me buttonKeep an eye out for Foundation representatives at the conference wearing an “Ask Me” button who will be able to provide you with more information about ASFPM Foundation activities and events at ASFPM 2024.
