25 Years Strong: Saluting Our CFM Milestone Achievers
Maintaining a professional certification for 25 years takes dedication. This year, 74 Certified Floodplain Managers (CFMs) have reached that milestone, demonstrating an enduring commitment to professional development and the high standards of the CFM program.
Established in 1998, the CFM program helps ensure communities have access to qualified floodplain management professionals who understand today’s flood risks and the strategies needed to reduce them. Through a long-standing partnership with six accredited states — Arkansas, Illinois, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas — the program promotes consistent standards and lifelong learning across the profession.
