2025 ASFPM Conference Wrap-Up: Connections Made, Ideas Shared, Futures Protected
That’s a wrap, More than 1,500 in-person attendees and 225 virtual participants joined us last month for the 2025 ASFPM Annual Conference in New Orleans. We hope you returned home recharged — with fresh ideas and new connections to help strengthen your community’s flood resilience.
From the opening night’s Welcome Fest at the historic Presbytère and Cabildo, to the closing reception at the National World War II Museum, and all the learning, networking, and big-picture planning in between — it was a week packed with inspiration and impact.
One attendee put it best: “My favorite conference, with my favorite people … in New Orleans no less? Yeah, I knew I wouldn’t be missing this one, no matter what I had to do to get here.”
A huge thank you to our chapter hosts, the Louisiana Floodplain Management Association, for their hospitality and for sharing the magic of their iconic city. It was the conference that had it all—community, connection, and just the right amount of Cajun charm.
