Policy Committees
ASFPM Policy Committees play an important role in providing real-world insights and perspectives from the field. They lead important discussions, spearhead work groups, and help collect and compile member comments on key policy issues. In short, they are critical to the work the association does while providing a vital networking community for professionals at all stages of their career. Currently, there are 15 policy committees serving ASFPM. We also have a Climate Change Task Force and a Social Justice Task Force.
ASFPM members may join as many committees as they wish. (Not an ASFPM member? Join here.) As a member of a committee, you will receive occasional email communications from the committee co-chairs, including invitations to upcoming meetings, webinars, and special projects that you can participate in.
You can learn more about each committee by exploring their committee webpage below. A good place to start is to review their latest work plan and annual status report. When you’re ready to join a committee, simply log into the ASFPM Portal and follow the instructions for How Do I Join a Committee. You can join the committee’s online discussion board at the same time.
If you have any questions about the committees and how you can get involved, please contact our membership manager.
