ASFPM has sent a letter to members of the Senate Appropriations Committee strongly urging funding of FEMA’s flood risk map program at a minimum of $263 million for FY21.
In the comments, ASFPM advocates for a simplified CRS program that reduces administrative burdens, making it easier for more communities to participate.
ASFPM would like to see investments in proactive voluntary measures to restore and maintain the function of floodplains to reduce flood risk in farm communities
