Our topic will be a position paper recently issued by the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) titled Critical Facilities and Flood Risk. The paper describes the seriousness of the problem and offers several recommendations to reduce future impacts from the cascading effects of the loss of these essential community resources.
