2021 BRIC and FMA Webinar Series Underway

The 2021 Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) and Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Webinar Series kicked off on July 28, 2021 and will run through Oct. 13, 2021.

Given the popularity of these webinars, FEMA is requiring participants to register for each event they would like to attend. Registration is capped at 1,000 for each event, and the Aug 11 program on Notice of Funding Opportunity for 2021 Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Grants, did hit that limit. The recording will be available on the FEMA site soon, but in the meantime the slide deck offers a concise overview. Download the slides

About the webinar series

The webinars bring FEMA subject-matter experts and partners together to provide technical information, best practices, tools, and resources regarding the BRIC and FMA grant programs. They are designed for leaders in states, local communities, tribes, and territories, as well as private sector entities, private non-profit organizations, and individuals interested in learning more about the programs and strategies for how to apply for them.

Government shutdown means a lapse in NFIP authority

The National Flood Insurance Program was not reauthorization by the deadline, Jan. 19, 2018. ASFPM will be monitoring the situation and will make announcements when we have additional information.
