The Central Valley Flood Protection Board is hiring a new Executive Officer!

With California facing a changing climate, the Central Valley will be impacted and will face more frequent and more serious floods. The Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB), headquartered in Sacramento, seeks an energetic, collaborative, and innovative leader to join the team as their Executive Officer.

The Executive Officer is responsible for the achievement of CVFPB’s mission and objectives, including planning, organizing, directing, and implementing policies, programs, and activities directed by the Board in accordance with its regulatory responsibilities, and applicable laws. CVFPB is seeking a proven professional with extensive leadership and management skills, experienced in development, execution, and evaluation of major programs, policies, and staff development, to lead the staff. The candidate must maintain a climate that attracts, trains, retains, and motivates a diverse staff of top-quality people, and be innovative and results-driven with a track record of successful leadership of an organization.
