FY24 Cuts Will Impact National Preparedness
ASFPM joined 17 other associations in an open letter to Congress regarding FY24 appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security. The letter noted that the nine percent reductions to all grant programs within the Federal Assistance Account at FEMA demonstrates a lack of understanding of how state, local, Tribal, and territorial governments help augment federal preparedness efforts. The Flood Hazard Mapping and Risk Assessment Program is among the programs affected by the cuts. Download the letter
