ASFPM’s

This is a brief update on the status
of Bulletin 17C, “Guidelines for Determining Flood Flow Frequency.”
The USGS has released a version of Bulletin 17C that is ready for public
comment. This revision to the current Bulletin 17B document was prepared by the
Hydrologic Frequency Analysis Work Group (HFAWG), under the Subcommittee on
Hydrology (SOH) of the Advisory Committee on Water Information.

The ME&S committee will be
compiling comments regarding this document on behalf of ASFPM. If you would
like to assist us in providing comments, you can find the document at:

http://acwi.gov/hydrology/Frequency/b17c/bulletin17c_draft_for_public_review.pdf

Comments are due to USGS by March
28. M&ES Committee Co-chair David Knipe is requesting comments by March 18,
which would allow him some time to compile and submit the committee’s findings.
Please send your comments to David Knipe at dknipe@dnr.in.gov.
