The San Joaquin County Public Works Department is seeking dynamic and experienced individuals to join a progressive, public service employer.
The Water Resources Division has an opening for an Engineer V to fill a senior level engineering role, and work directly with the Water Resources Manager on current and future flood control and water supply efforts.
Two years of experience as either a Registered Civil Engineer or Traffic Engineer in an organization performing diversified public works activities combined with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field from an ABET-accredited college or university, and valid certification of registration as a Civil or Traffic Engineer issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Professional engineering experience with public sector Water Resource and/or Flood Management Engineering
Strong technical skills in the development and management of engineering projects associated with flood, water supply and stormwater management
Project and program management experience, development of work plans Develop and manage scopes, schedules and budgets
Ability to identify and solve complex problems by conferring with customers, coworkers, consultants, contractors, industry experts and others regarding project and/or program requirements
