INDR’s Chief of the Northeastern Illinois Regulatory Programs Section, Gary Jereb, P.E., will present an overview of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Office of Water Resources regulatory programs, specifically the floodway management, the public water management and the dam safety programs. Emphasis will be provided on the proposed changes to the floodway rules entitled Construction in Floodways of Rivers, Lakes and Streams (Illinois Adm. Code Part 3700).

Senior Technical Reviewer for the ISWS FEMA Letter of Map Revision Partnership Program, Brian Chaille, P.E., CFM, will present guidance for successfully revising FEMA maps in Illinois. Topics to be covered in the workshop include: choosing between a Letter of Map Amendment and a Letter of Map Revision, determining when a CLOMR or LOMR is required, obtaining effective data, MT-2 Form requirements, Endangered Species Act requirements, organizing the submittal, common submittal mistakes, effective dates and review periods.
