This workshop will bring together planners, architects, engineers, builders and other stakeholders to discuss recommended coastal construction practices and to explore the unique challenges of designing and building in coastal Louisiana. The forum is targeted primarily toward practitioners to better understand the needs each party faces in the planning-design-construction process and how disciplines can work more collaboratively toward a common solution.
A study presentation and discussion on the perception and impacts of flood insurance in coastal Louisiana will immediately follow the workshop. This presentation is open to the public and all workshop participants.
Who should attend? Architects, engineers, planners and builders will benefit from a two-day workshop where coastal construction practices and the unique challenges of designing and building in coastal Louisiana will be discussed.
