DETAILS
This practical two-day class will show you how to look for field
indicators when determining the Ordinary High Water Mark of state
shorelines. It is geared toward shoreline planners, consultants, and
state regulatory staff. You will learn how to identify hydrologic,
vegetative, and geologic indicators, along with other techniques for
implementing the Shoreline Management Act. The first day will focus on
classroom information, and the second day will consist of a field trip
to freshwater and saltwater sites. Outdoor clothing is required (rubber
boots highly recommended!).
