Floodplain Management 101 Agenda

We strongly encourage you to attend one of these workshops. The Oklahoma Floodplain Managers Association at its own expense with Training Cadre Instructors offer the following workshops:
  • Flood Risk Reduction (FRR)
  • Substantial Damage Estimator (SDE)
  • Risk Map (RM)
  • Substantial Damage Estimator - Disaster Response Team (SDE-DRT)

OFMA instructors travel long distances to teach these subjects, so please follow through by your attendance. Much time and effort is spent organizing and administering workshops by OWRB staff. Our goal is to keep them free of charge to the floodplain community. If you have an unforeseen situation, which prevents you from attending, please contact Cathy Poage at 580-256-1014.

COST
No fee required. Lunch is on your own.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Attending one class prior to June 1 each year will meet the OWRB floodplain administration accreditation requirement of 6 CECs per year. The Oklahoma Insurance Department has approved 6 hours of continuing education credits (CECs) for both property/casualty agents and insurance adjusters who attend Floodplain Management 101 classes.
