Committee Information

The primary mission of the Mapping and Engineering Standards Committee is to provide policy guidance and support for floodplain mapping and engineering issues to foster reduction of future losses, costs, and human suffering caused by flooding. This committee isfocused on improving FEMA's Flood Mapping Program,and addressing technical issues related to floodplain management, including evaulating the impact oflevees and dams.

Office of Risk Identification Conference Call Summaries

At ASFPM's request, FEMA flood mapping staff leadership and ASFPM representatives Alan Lulloff, Chair of the ASFPM Mapping & Engineering Standards Committee, and Mark Riebau, ASFPM Project Manager, are holding conference calls. The purpose of the calls is to maintain open lines of communication between FEMA's Office of Risk Indentification and ASFPM regarding Map Modernization implementation and the development of state business plans. ASFPM members that have questions they would like raised during these conference calls may forward them to Alan Lulloff.
