LARRY A. LARSON, P.E., CFM

Mr. Larson is a founding member of Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc., established in 1977. He was the national Chair from 1979-82 and has volunteered as the Executive Director since 1982 until it became a half-time paid position in February, 1997. As the Executive Director he serves as an agent of the Association in accordance with the directives of the Board of Directors and the guidelines of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Association. Mr. Larson graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and California. His responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the implementation of ASFPM policies and directives set by the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate and communicate with federal agencies, the Administration, and Congressionals involved in floodplain management.
- Communicate and coordinate mutual activities with other professional organizations involved in floodplain management.
- Provide liaison to and seek input from members, chapters, and corporate sponsors.
GEORGE RIEDEL, CFM

Mr. Riedel joined the Association in December 2005. He served as the Association's national Treasurer from 1998 to 1999, as Vice Chair from 2000 to 2001 and as Chair from 2002 to 2003. Prior to coming to ASFPM he was a branch chief for the floodplain management and mitigation section for the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency. He has an A.A. in Business from Missouri Baptist College, Hannibal, MO, and a B.S. in Business from Culver Stockton College, Canton, MO. He is also a Certified Floodplain Manager. His responsibilities include:
- Oversee accounting and financial functions
- Oversee personnel functions
- Coordinate and work with staff
- Oversee conference, workshops, and publications

DIANE A. BROWN

Ms. Brown has been affiliated with the Association of State Floodplain Managers in a consulting capacity since 1981, moving to full service with the Association in 1987. In January 1996, the Association opened a permanent office and hired Ms. Brown as ASFPM Executive Office Manager. Ms. Brown holds a B.A. in Psychology, Physical Education and English from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and undertook graduate study in Continuing Adult Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She now holds the position of Administrator. Her responsibilities include:
- Coordinate annual, regional and special issues conferences.
- Support the ASFPM Foundation.
- Facilitate contract and project management as needed.
- Oversee monthly newsletters, annual directory production and publications
- Coordinate staff and volunteers.

Ms. Larson came to work for the Association in March of 2002. Her responsibilities with ASFPM include:
- Administer the Certified Floodplain Manager Program.
- Track Continuing Education activities.
- Conference / workshop duties.
CHAD ROSS

Mr. Ross came to the Association in July of 2003, with five years experience working with natural resources emergency and disaster management and a well-rounded knowlege of computer systems and applications. His duties include:
- Manage and maintain the Associations's computer hardware, network and data systems.
- Develop and maintain the Association's website.
- Liaison with Committee Chairs and Corporate Partners
- Conference / workshop duties.

Ms. Pond returned to the Association in November of 2004, having worked with us in 1998-2000. Her duties include:
- Maintaining the Associations's accounting and financial records.
- Perform purchasing functions for the Association .
- Assist with membership and data control duties.
- Conference / workshop duties.

Ms. Head joined the Association in March of 2006. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and graduated in May 2003 with a degree in Conservation Biology. Her responsibilities include:
- Maintain the Association's member information.
- Compilation and distribution of The Insider; distribution and inventory of all other ASFPM publications and newsletters.
- Assist with accounting and Certification Program duties.
- Assist with execution of Board activities.
- Conference / workshop duties.
